Zepto is an instant grocery startup that offers an e-grocery app that revolutionizes the grocery buying experience.

Zepto delivers groceries in 10 minutes through a network of optimized micro-warehouses or 'dark stores' that they build across cities.

Zepto was founded in 2020 by Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra. The company is headquartered in Mumbai, India.

 

Zepto today operates in 11 cities. including Bangalore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chennai and Hyderabad. The company has set up a maze of over 100 dark stores across these cities that are optimized for fast deliveries.

 

Zepto has built a network of micro-warehouses, each of which has a capacity to do over 2,500 orders a day. Zepto is now adding 100,000 new customers every week.

 

Zepto is also piloting a service to deliver a range of prepared food items, including hot beverages and snacks within its signature 10-minute promise in select areas in Mumba.

 

Zepto is backed by YC Continuity Fund, Glade Brook, Nexus, Breyer Capital, Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Lachy Groom, Global Founders Capital, Contrary Capital, and others. The company raised $200M in Series D round on May 02, 2022. This brings Zepto's total funding to $360M to date. The latest round pushed the company's valuation to around $900M, up from $570M in Series C round raised in Dec 2021.
