Xanadu is a quantum computing company with the mission to build quantum computers that are useful and available to people everywhere.

Xanadu's platform leverages advanced artificial intelligence to integrate quantum silicon photonic chips into existing hardware to create a full-stack quantum computer.

Xanadu was founded in 2016 by Christian Weedbrook. The company is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, CA.

 

Xanadu launched world's first cloud-deployed photonic quantum computer via Xanadu Cloud, which provides you with hardware, software and applications for quantum computing.

 

Xanadu also leads the development of PennyLane, an open-source software library for quantum computing and application development. The company's Strawberry Fields integrates seamlessly with Xanadu Cloud, providing direct access to programmable quantum computers including Borealis and the X-Series processors.

 

Xanadu partners with leading companies to break new ground in hardware, software and quantum applications. Notable partners include Google, IBM, BMW Group, Volkswagen, AWS, The University of Toronto, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Harvard University, to name a few.

 

Xanadu is backed by Georgian, Bessemer Venture Partners, Capricorn, BDC Capital, OMERS, Draper Associates, Porsche, Alumni Ventures, Pegasus Tech Ventures, Silicon Valley Bank, Forward Ventures, and others. The company raised CAD$40M ($30M) from the Canadian government on Jan 23, 2023. This brings Xanadu's total funding to $265.6M to date. The investment comes a couple of months after Xanadu raised a $100M Series C with a $1B valuation.
