Wolf3D has launched its Ready Player Me cross-game avatars for the metaverse, the universe of virtual worlds that are all interconnected, like in novels such as Snow Crash and Ready Player One.
Wolf3D's future projects include the addition of NFT wearables and virtual fashion for avatars. The company has previously partnered with Dior and New Balance, and most recently with Deadmau5 for the “Head5” NFT collection.
Wolf3D's avatars are already being used in more than 260 games and apps. The company's customers include Tencent, Huawei, HTC, Vodafone, and Wargaming, among many others.
Wolf3D is backed by Taavet+Sten, Trind Ventures, Presto Ventures, NordicNinja, Koha Capital, Spring Capital, Konvoy Ventures, Contriber Ventures, Sten Tamkivi co-founder of Teleport, and others. The company raised $13M in Series A round on Dec 28, 2021. This brings Wolf3D's total funding to $15.8M to date.
