WINGCOPTER

Wingcopter is a manufacturer of unmanned, all-electric delivery drones and provider of drone delivery services, specializing in improving medical supply chains and the logistics of urgently needed goods.

Wingcopter is dedicated to improving and saving lives worldwide through meaningful commercial and humanitarian applications.

Wingcopter was founded in 2017 by Tom Plümmer, Jonathan Hesselbarth, and Ansgar Kadura. The company is headquartered in Hesse, Germany.

Wingcopter launched the Wingcopter 198, the world's first triple drop delivery drone that delivers heavy payloads over long ranges, pushing the envelope of what is possible.

The Wingcopter 198 is built on the patented tilt-rotor mechanism and proprietary software algorithms. Which allows it to take off and land vertically like a multicopter, while flying long distances as efficiently and quickly as a fixed- wing aircraft, even in rain and wind.

Wingcopter has been working with UNICEF, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to deliver life-saving medicines and medical supplies to rural communities in hard-to- reach areas. Wingcopter is also currently developing a green hydrogen energy system together with Hamburg-based ZAL Center of Applied Aeronautical Research GmbH.

Wingcopter is backed by EIB, REWE, Salvia, XAI technologies, Xplorer Capital, Futury Capital, ITOCHU, DRONE FUND, SYNERJET, Expa, Hessen Kapital Corecam Capital Partners, and others. The company raised $44M (€40M) in a new round on May 11, 2023. This brings Wingcopter's total funding to $111M to date.
