Synspective

Synspective is a remote sensing company that provides satellite data solutions using small synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites.

Synspective creates the Learning World where people can expand their capabilities and make tangible progress with new data and technologies. 

Synspective was founded in 2018 by Motoyuki Arai. The company is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

 

Synspective applies the results of the ImPACT program (led by the Government of Japan, Cabinet Office), to build a constellation of 30 high-frequency, high-resolution SAR satellites to provide data and solutions to government and commercial outfits.

 

Synspective has launched two satellites to date: StriX α in December 2020 and StriX β Feb. 28, both on Rocket Lab Electron rockets. The latter launch was the first of a three-launch deal between Synspective and Rocket Lab announced in December 2021.

 

Synspective is backed by Sompo Japan Insurance, Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation, Nomura SPARX Investment, JAFCO Japan, Shimizu Corporation, Pavilion Capital, Keio Innovation Initiative 1-LPS, and others. The company raised $100M in Series B round on Mar 29, 2022. This brings Synspective's total funding to $200M to date.
