Sensel is a startup building the next wave of touch technologies to revolutionize interaction with the digital world.
Sensel was born from the understanding that computers had advanced to the point where they could be carried, connected, and commodified, but interacting with them was always a compromise.
Sensel was founded in 2013 by Ilya Rosenberg and Aaron Zarraga. The company is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, with offices in Brooklyn, New York and Taipei, Taiwan.
Sensel's mission is to build the next wave of touch technologies that will empower users, disrupt industries, and revolutionize interaction with the digital world.
Sensel's patented touch technology offers two functions in a single, ultra-thin sensor: position reporting with high accuracy, and force sensing with the ability to measure force from 1g to 5kg independently for each contact point.
Sensel’s Pressure Grid™ is a high resolution sensor array combined with an efficient drive scheme to capture a rich force image. It can be integrated behind a flexible AMOLED display, a non-display touchpad, steering wheel, or any surface area where a high-resolution force sensing experience is desired.
Sensel has completed its Series A round with $28M in funding on Mar 03, 2020. Susquehanna International Group, Morningside Group, SMiT, SV Tech Ventures, Green City Ventures Limited, u.life fund, Waterwood Growth Technology and others. The company has raised a total of $38M in funding to date.
