Rippling is a human resource management company that manages employees' payroll, benefits, devices, and apps.

Rippling is the first way for businesses to manage their HR & IT — from payroll and benefits, to employee devices and apps — all in one, modern system.

Rippling was founded in 2016 by Parker Conrad and Prasanna Sankar. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

Rippling enables every company to onboard a new employee quickly and set up their payroll, health insurance, work computer, and third-party apps like Gmail, Microsoft Office, and Slack. The platform unifies every employee system, and automates the administrative work behind each.

Rippling launched new tools to help with job costing, helping companies track where employees are spending time when working on different projects, a tool critical for IT, accounting and other companies where employees work across a number of clients.

Rippling's system of record powers more than 30 software-as-a-service applications that help human resource and  information technology teams manage their day-to-day work.

Rippling is backed by Founders Fund, Kleiner Perkins, Greenoaks Capital, Coatue Management, Sequoia's SCGE, Threshold Ventures, Bedrock Capital, Initialized Capital, Y Combinator, and others. The company raised $250M in Series D round on May 11, 2022. This brings Rippling's total funding to $697M to date. The latest round nearly doubled the company's valuation to $11.25B, up from previous $6.5B gained in a Series C raised in Oct 2021.
