Rebellions

Rebellions is an AI-powered fabless startup that builds chips designed for artificial intelligence applications.

Rebellions' mission is to deliver a domain-specific AI processor along with its optimized software.

Rebellions was founded in 2020 by Sunghyun Park, with four co-founders. The company is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.

Rebellions pushes algorithm boundaries to better exploit silicon budgets, while re-architecting AI processors to incorporate sophisticated deep learning features through silicon-dedicated DL kernels.

Rebellions' first AI chip ION improves trading speeds and reduces latencies and is two times faster than Intel Habana Labs’ AI Chip Goya in terms of execution. Rebellions has lined up Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to begin manufacturing the ION chips.

Rebellions is also developing two more Chip products, Atom and Rebel. These two products will target large companies in the cloud sector and data centers, and is to be launched in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

Rebellions is backed by Temasek’s Pavilion Capital, KT Investment, Korean Development Bank, SV Investment, Mirae Asset Capital, Mirae Asset Ventures, Kakao Ventures, GU Equity Partners, Seoul Techno Holdings, IMM Investment, KB Investment, and others. The company raised $22.8M (30B KRW) in an additional Series A round on Jul 05, 2022.
