Qoala is a disruptive insure-tech company that leverages big-data, machine learning, IoT and blockchain aiming to revolutionise insurance landscape in Indonesia.

Qoala works with large-scale platforms to drive awareness about insurance – a product that has low penetration in Indonesia.

Qoala was founded in 2018 by Harshet Lunani, alongside with Tommy Martin. The company is headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia.

 

Qoala operates in three countries; Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand offering various insurance protections, ranging from health, motor vehicle, property, personal accident, and other needs that can be accessed transparently through the application or website.

 

Qoala has acquired over 50,000 insurance marketers and provides a platform supported by over 50 insurers for them to sell insurance from multiple insurers, while managing pre-sale and post-sale services.

 

Qoala also provides several innovative micro-insurance products through its partnerships with Traveloka, Redbus, DANA, JD.ID, Shopee, Kredivo and Investree among others.

 

Qoala is backed by Eurazeo, Sequoia India, Flourish Ventures, Kookmin Bank Investments, Centauri Fund, MassMutual Ventures Southeast Asia, and others. The company raised $65M in Series B round on May 12, 2022. This brings Qoala's total funding to $81.5M to date.
