Pony’s full-stack hardware platform, PonyAlpha, leverages lidars, radars, and cameras to keep tabs on obstacles within up to 200 meters of its self-driving cars.

Pony is backed by Toyota Motor Corporation, Sequoia Capital China, Morningside Ventures, DCM Ventures, Ontario Teachers' Pension Fund, ClearVue, Eight Roads, Green Pine, Redpoint Ventures China, and others. The company completed its first close of its Series D financing on Mar 06, 2022. The deal valued the company company at a $8.5B post-money. Pony was last valued $5.3B in Nov 2020. The company has secured a total of $1.1B in funding to date.
