Patchwork Health

Patchwork is a healthtech startup with a mission to unleash the power of flexible working to solve the global healthcare workforce crisis.

Patchwork transforms temporary staffing by connecting vacant shifts with a growing marketplace of healthcare workers.

Patchwork was founded in 2016 by Anas Nader and Jing Ouyang. The company is headquartered in London, with offices in Manchester and Liverpool.

Patchwork provides NHS organisations with a pool of temporary staff that can be custom selected to meet the specific demands of each clinic. Patchwork also provides data to NHS managers to monitor staffing trends and pay rates.

Patchwork's platform dramatically drive up the number of clinicians booking shifts directly with their hospital. For permanent staff members, Patchwork’s platform can be used to specify personal needs and preferences for staff rotas.

Patchwork Health has more than 20,000 clinicians across over 50 hospitals already use the Patchwork app, with over 1.5 million shift hours booked since launch.

Patchwork is backed by Perwyn, Praetura Ventures, BMJ New Ventures, KHP Ventures, Monzo founder Tom Blomfield, and others. The company raised £20M in Series B round on Aug 10, 2022. This brings Patchwork's total funding to £27.7M to date.
