Lunit is a medical AI software company developing advanced medical image analytics and data-driven imaging biomarkers.

Lunit was co-founded in 2013 by Anthony Seungwook Paek, Donggeun Yoo, Sunggyun Park, Minhong Jang, Kyunghyun Paeng, and Jungin Lee. The company is headquartered in Seoul.


Lunit has developed a tissue analysis platform called Lunit SCOPE and has presented data at previous scientific meetings showing it could identify 50 percent more patients who would respond to immunotherapy compared to traditional diagnostic pathology.


Lunit recently partnered with RadLink, and developed x-ray software INSIGHT CXR and mammography product Lunit INSIGHT MMG at RadLink's facilities. Fujifilm Corporation has also adopted Lunit's INSIGHT CXR for its AI-powered chest x-ray product called CXR-AID.


Lunit's radiology solutions for chest x-ray and mammography, Lunit INSIGHT, in active partnership with various medical device giants including GE Healthcare, Philips, and FujiFilm, is commercial in 30+ countries and will also be offered in the US with its recent FDA approval.


Lunit is backed by Guardant Health, Softbank Ventures Asia, HealthQuest Capital,  Shinhan Investment, InterVest, Casdin Capital, IMM Investment, American Cancer Society BrightEdge, Tybourne Capital Management, and others. The company raised $61M ahead of its initial public offering on Nov 25, 2021. This brings Lunit's total funding to $133.5M to date.
