Instabug

Instabug is a software company that provides bug reporting, crash reporting, in-app feedback, and user surveys for mobile apps.

Instabug aims to help mobile developers monitor, identify and fix bugs within apps.

Instabug was founded in 2012 by Omar Gabr and Moataz Soliman. The company is headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, with an office in San Francisco, California.

Instabug provides mobile developers with real-time insights throughout the app life cycle, with its bug and feedback reporting, secure crash reporting and in-app surveys. It allows regular mobile users or beta testers to submit their feedback or report bugs about any mobile app in the most intuitive way.

Instabug automatically reports the incident back to its customer. It goes beyond crash reporting, to give mobile developers detailed information such as where the bugs are, how an app is performing generally and when it’s completely failing.

Instabug counts “many” of the fortune 500 companies and top 100 apps on the app store as customers, including DoorDash, Verizon, Qualtrics, Porsche, Gojek, and Clubhouse. In 2021, Instabug sat within 2.7B mobile devices, processed 110B mobile sessions and helped customers resolve 4.2B issues.

Instabug is backed by Insight Partners, Accel, Y Combinator, Forgepoint Capital, Endeavor, and others. The company raised $46M in a Series B round on May 17, 2022. This brings Instabug's total funding to $53.1M to date.
