Grafana Labs was founded in 2014 by Raj Dutt, Torkel Ödegaard and Anthony Woods. The company is headquartered in New York, with an office in Stockholm, Sweden.

 

Grafana’s commercial products include Grafana Enterprise Stack, with key features and support for large organizations, and Grafana Cloud, a hosted Grafana-based stack that includes (Prometheus & Graphite), logs (Grafana Loki) and tracing (Grafana Tempo).

 

Grafana monetizes its tools by offering a number of fully managed services with a subscription plan, as well as a self-managed enterprise stack (and a free plan to get users started).

 

Grafana Labs has over 2000 customers including Bloomberg, JP Morgan Chase, eBay, PayPal, and Sony, and more than 900,000 active Grafana installations with 10 million global users.

 

Grafana is backed by Coatue, GIC, Sequoia Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, J.P. Morgan, Lead Edge Capital, and others. The company raised $240M in Series D round on Apr 06, 2022. This brings Grafana's total funding to $539M to date. The company didn't disclosed its valuation for the latest round but was last valued at $3B from a Series C round raised in Aug 2021.
