Gotham Greens was founded in 2009 by Viraj Puri and Eric Haley. The company is headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, with greenhouses across America, including locations in New York, Illinois, Rhode Island, Maryland, Virginia, Colorado and California.

 

Gotham Greens produces and delivers long-lasting and delicious leafy greens, herbs, salad dressings, dips and cooking sauces all year round to retail, restaurant and foodservice customers.

 

Gotham Greens products are available in more than 3,000 grocery stores nationwide. Gotham Greens has with key accounts, including Whole Foods Market, The Kroger Co., Albertsons, Sprouts Farmers Market, The Fresh Market, AmazonFresh, FreshDirect and more.

 

Gotham Greens also recently completed the acquisition of FresH2O Growers, Inc., a 540,000 square foot hydroponic greenhouse grower in Stevensburg, Va. (50 miles southwest of Washington, D.C.). FresH2O leafy green salad products are sold in grocery stores across the Mid-Atlantic region.

 

Gotham Greens is backed by BMO Impact Investment Fund (IIF), The Silverman Group, Ares Management, Manna Tree Ventures, Commonfund, RockCreek, Kimco Realty Corporation, Creadev, NYSERDA, and others. The company raised a $310M Series D (includes an equity and debt) round on Sep 12, 2022. This brings Gotham Greens' total funding to $442.1M to date.
