Freshworks, formerly Freshdesk, is an online cloud-based customer service software providing helpdesk support with all smart automations to get things done faster. It is the parent company behind the suite of products which includes Freshdesk, Freshservice, Freshsales, Freshcaller, Freshteam, Freshchat, and Freshmarketer.

Freshworks provides organizations of all sizes with SaaS customer engagement solutions that make it easy for support, sales and marketing professionals to communicate effectively with customers for better service and collaborate with team members to resolve customer issues.

Freshworks was founded in 2010 as Freshdesk Inc. and changed its name to Freshworks in June 2017., by Girish Mathrubhootam & Shan Krishnasamy, based in Chennai. The company is headquartered San Bruno, California with offices in India, UK, Australia, and Germany.

Freshworks SaaS products provide a 360-degree view of the customer, are ready to go, easy to use and offer quick return on investment.

Freshworks's cloud-based suite of SaaS products is widely used by over 150,000 customers around the world including Honda, Bridgestone, Hugo Boss, University of Pennsylvania, Toshiba and Cisco.

 

Freshworks is backed by Accel, Google Ventures, Tiger Global Management, CapitalG, Sequoia Capital India and others. The company raised $150M (RS 1050 Crore) from a pre-IPO financing on Nov 4, 2019. This new round brings Freshworks' total funding to $399M to date. The latest round values the company at a whooping $3.5B.

 

Freshworks has acquired 9 companies including Zarget, Airwoot, Chatimity. The company has also made a $1.1M investments to Fyle in Apr 20, 2018. Freshworks was named on the "Forbes Cloud 100 List in 2017" as No 95 and No 60 in 2018 and No 40 in 2019. They were recognized in G2 Crowd’s Best Software Awards 2019.
