Dispelix

Dispelix is a designer and fabless manufacturer of the world’s first truly mass manufacturable diffractive waveguide displays.

Dispelix makes single-layer waveguides and see-through displays, primarily focused on augmented reality applications.

Dispelix was founded in 2015 by Antti Sunnari and Juuso Olkkonen. The company is headquartered in Finland, with offices in China, Taiwan and the US.

Dispelix takes a nanophotonics-based waveguide approach and is able to deliver a single layer, full-color waveguide display.

Dispelix's DPX waveguides set the global standard, featuring the smallest, lightest, and most efficient technology. The company uses self-developed algorithms and parallel computing for diffractive waveguide design and optimization.

Dispelix also designs customized waveguide displays and licenses intellectual property to customers that develop game-changing products for fast-evolving AR eyewear markets.

Dispelix is backed by Atlantic Bridge, 3M Ventures, CCB Trust, Flashpoint, Lifeline Ventures, VTT Ventures, Finnish Industry Investment, and others. The company raised €28.4M in Series B round on Nov 08, 2021. This brings Dispelix's total funding €52.1M to date.
