CodeSignal

CodeSignal, formerly known as CodeFights, is a technical interview practice and skills-based recruiting platform operated by American company BrainFights, Inc, whose mission is to discover, develop and promote technical talent.

CodeSignal is a fun way to practice programming. Prepare for technical interviews & level up your coding skills.

CodeSignal was founded in 2014 in Armenia, by Tigran Sloyan, Aram Shatakhtsyan, and Felix Desroches. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

CodeSignal’s Machine Learning algorithm has analyzed terabytes of skill assessment data to develop the Coding Score, which is a predictor of a developer’s coding and problem-solving ability, and technical interview performance.

CodeSignal uses AI in two core areas. Some of the assessments, particularly high-volume ones like its General Coding Assessment (GCA), have built-in proctoring tools to maximize integrity.

CodeSignal uses static analyses to identify whether the code adheres to industry best practices, with machine learning models spotting vulnerabilities in the test code. Customers include Brex, Databricks, Facebook, Instacart, Robinhood, Upwork and Zoom.

CodeSignal is backed by Index Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Capital One Ventures, CM Ventures, Human Capital, SV Angel, e.ventures, Correlation Ventures, Headline, A Capital, and others. The company raised $50M in Series C round on Sep 16, 2021. This brings CodeSignal's total funding to $87.5M to date.
