Brimore is a social commerce and parallel distribution platform allowing local suppliers have nationwide coverage through a network of individual distributors (Mostly housewives) selling their products in their circles using all possible channels (omni-channel).
Brimore enables the local manufacturers to overcome the Go-to-Market challenges and grow on a national scale through a powerful commercial arm of ’Individuals’.
Brimore was co-founded in 2017 by Mohamed Abdulaziz, Ahmed Sheikha, and Mahmoud Refaay. The company is headquartered in Cairo, Egypt.
Brimore directly connects domestic manufacturers to distributors who can sell and promote their products. It leverages a network of thousands of social sellers across Egypt, serving thousands of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and individuals seeking to expand their businesses with minimal initial capital.
Brimore claims to have grown around 400x in revenue. More than 300 suppliers with approximately 8,000 different SKUs from packaged foods, personal care, and household goods are on the platform.
Brimore has also built a network of 75,000 sellers (74% of them are women) covering 27 cities, primarily rural and remote areas, in Egypt.
Brimore is backed by The International Finance Corporation (IFC), Endure Capital, Fawry, Flourish, Endeavor Catalyst Fund, Algebra Ventures, Disruptech, Vision Ventures, 500 Startups, Flat6labs, and others. The company raised $25M in Series A round on Jan 31, 2022. This brings Brimore's total funding to $29.3M to date.
