BibliU was co-founded in 2013 by David Sherwood, Daniel Engelke, Tao Mantaras, Ryan White and Ellis Gecan, at the Oxford University Startup Incubator. The company is headquartered in New York and London.

 

Bibliu, designed to address the unique requirements of students, faculty, libraries and publishers, its learning enablement solution features digital content management, workflow automation and analytics.

 

Bibliu launched its Universal Learning solution, which aggregates digital content from thousands of publishers and OER (open educational resources) sources on one platform for one low price, per student, per class.

 

BibliU's platform is currently used by 112 leading universities from Oxford, Cambridge to Cornell and Phoenix in the U.S. it allows higher educations institutions to license textbooks and courseware, primarily in digital format – for all students for a single, low, per student or per class fee, rather than having to set to separate contracts with each publisher.

 

BibliU is backed by Oxford Science Enterprises, Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS), Nesta Impact Investments, Guinness Ventures, Greyrock Investments, Stonehage Fleming, and others. The company closed its Series B round with £15M on Sep 28, 2022. This brings BibliU's total funding to $32.6M to date.
