Berlin Brands Group

Berlin Brands Group (BBG), formerly Chal-Tec, is a global e-commerce company and one of the pioneers in the direct-to-consumer business.

BBG aims to build lucrative economies of scale around buying up smaller brands that sell on marketplaces like Amazon and using technology to run and scale them more efficiently.

Berlin Brands Group was founded in 2005 by Peter Chaljawski. The company is headquartered in Berlin, with offices in locations spanning the globe – from Europe, UK, USA, to Asia.

BBG's ability to develop and scale brands that meet current consumer trends through their highly efficient e-commerce platform gives the company tremendous growth potential in a fast-growing market.

BBG currently sells 3,700 products through its 14 own brands (including Klarstein, auna, blumfeldt and Capital Sports) through 100+ channels in 28 countries.

BBG has access to some 1.5 billion e-commerce customers across various marketplaces where it sells goods in Europe, the U.K., the U.S. and Asia. Notably, unlike many others in the same space as BBG, it is focused on more than Amazon, with some 100 channels in 28 countries.

BBG is backed by Bain Capital, Ardian, UniCredit Group, Commerzbank, and Deutsche Bank. The company raised $100M in a new financing on Nov 17, 2021. This brings BBG's total funding to over $1B to date. The company was valued at over $1B from their $700M financing raised in Sep 2021.
